In the book of Matthew, Jesus gives His disciples instruction to venture out everywhere and make more disciples. He wants them to teach them what He has taught them. He wants them to baptize these new disciples in the name of the Trinity. Okay I got lazy with that last sentence.
In our day church is thought to be two things. It is the building on 5th and main and it is God’s people, His spiritual Israel. Biblically it is only His people and it is capital C Church.
If Jesus wants His disciples to make more disciples then why are we busy planting churches? What do you think? Should the focus of God’s people be:
1. Planting churches
or
2. Making disciples
