Watch Out For That Lady In The Crosswalk!!
This morning I was checking out Facebook and and ran across an update by our friend Katy. She has been a missionary in Europe for more than 20 years, so it was a little shocking to see that the culture can still bite her. When she went to the store this is what happened to her,
“On the way, I about got run over in the crosswalk. Then someone shoved their cart into me, another person practically crawled into the cheese case in front of me as I was standing there and I had to dodge two more cars on the way home.”
Say it isn’t so Katy!
We have lived in Germany for a total of 11 months (one internship and one small trip) so we expect to experience culture shock. I guess I can assume that culture shock gets better but never fully goes away.
Questions
Have you ever been to another country and stayed long enough to experience culture shock? What happened and how did you respond. There is so much more I could say on this but I will save it for another post.

I have never been to another country and so have not experienced culture shock that way. But I have, believe it or not, experienced it by living for a short while in another region in THIS country.
I thought about putting that in the post but was trying to keep it short. When I venture outside of Missouri or Oklahoma I can experience some culture shock myself.
