Happy elections? I will be glad for them to be over. A person could get depressed with all the bashing going on with the candidates. While we were in Germany there was an election for Chancellor and I don’t remember any bashing on the TV, of course I don’t understand a lot of the German language either.
Updates
Here are a few updates. Amanda is doing fine in staying sane with homework but prayers are always welcomed. We are very excited about her being done with school soon. Every time we go to the bookstore she is drawn to baby and children books…can anybody guess what she would like her next project to be? We have already decided that we are going to wait 2 years after being in Germany before we have any children so if any of you out there support the idea of us having children soon then please feel free to support us financially so we can get back to Germany quickly. 
I went in for my interview last month and did not get the job. I thought the interview went well and they said they would call or write to let me know either way, but they didn’t. I am not sure what happened there. I am turning in an application today in an attempt to get employment at a Christian bookstore here in Joplin, so there is something to keep in your heart and mind while you pray for us. Amanda and I might recruit two other people to go with us this summer for our Let’s Start Talking project. Pray that people would be interested in coming with us this summer to plant seeds in the hearts of the German people.
Financial Status
We have a financial goal of $6400 USD that we have to reach before we can do our ministry this summer. The first half of this amount ($3200 USD) needs to be met by Feb 1, 07 and the second half needs to be met by April 15 07 (Tax Day). The total amount will cover all of our necessary expenses for the six weeks in Germany. Once you are there you can enter the amount to donate and then click the continue button. If you do not feel comfortable donating online then there is a printable form you can fill out and mail in. Remember that if you do not feel led to give then please be part of our prayer supporters. At first thought being a prayer supporter sounds easy. How many of us have said, “Oh, I will pray for you”, but we don’t follow through, I know I have. Please remember that if you choose to either be a prayer supporter or a financial supporter you are choosing a task that will require something of you. Both are important and both help advance God’s kingdom.
I want to remind you we are going to Germany this summer for two reasons. First we are going to plant seeds and start relationships that will have a chance to be continued by the church in Peine, Germany. Second we are going to receive on the job training. When we go back to Germany full time we will be using this ministry of Let’s Start Talking. Because we are going this summer and having hands on experience we will be more effective in reaching the lost ones of Germany when we go back full time. We cherish every donation and prayer offered up to the ministry that we believe God is leading us into.
