I am not sure if I mentioned much about week two so I will try and fill you in. During week two we visited a school which is basically like our high school in the USA. There was the LST team and Randy’s intern who were invited. Karl and Tim went to one class while Amanda and I went to another. It was a lot of fun. We came up with some questions and listened to theirs. We did not gain any readers from the school but we are staying in contact with three of them and inviting them to the parties.
Last week we had our second party. The theme was Kansas. We had The Wizard of Oz playing in the background and postcards with pictures of Kansas stuck to the walls. Amanda had several games that we played. In one of the games she divided the people up into four groups. Each group received a bag of odd items. With these items we were required to come up with a skit. It was a lot of fun. We had a lot of readers attend and the total number of people at the party was 17.
Last week one of Amanda’s readers took us on a tour of Braunschweig. It is a very interesting city with a lot of history. We felt it to be a very productive day because God gave us the opportunity to build a relationship with Wilfried and his wife Rosie. It takes time to share one’s faith here in Germany so with this couple we realize that we need to listen before we can be heard.
Our teammate Karl was sick for four or five days. He slept a ton and threw up a couple of times. Today he seems to be better and even went and joined some guys for a soccer match.
Our time is going by quickly. Amanda and I are really ready to come back to Germany and work full-time. I don’t think either one of has been so busy before. It is good though because we are being busy for His kingdom. Please continue to pray for us. Thank you.
